

Lately, he has taken a real interest in the assortment of pets and "wild" animals - squirrels, geese, ducks, sparrows, robins, gulls, sparrows, blackbirds, and the occasional heron - that you can find down there. He takes after his uncle Alvin in that he usually spots animals before his handlers do. While we do live in a neighbourhood with a lot of green space, as you can see from the satellite photo, we're nowhere near what you might call wilderness.

Something must be happening that is making the city an attractive place for animals to live because just in the past week we have seen a large prehistoric-looking turtle, a red fox, and 3 deer (2 days in a row). BL can't wait until hunting season starts...
