Yellow Fields

BL and Lmar goofing around in the canola fields around Beaver Valley. The yellow patches of canola were an incredibly sunny contrast to the green trees and grey skies over Grey County last weekend. We couldn't resist ignoring the the rain and immersing ourselves into it, until a shotgun-toting farmer drove us out.

Canadian trivia: The word "canola" was derived from "Canadian oil, low acid" in 1978. They were probably looking to replace the unfortunately named original plant - rapeseed.

  2. Well...actually it was the rain that drove us back inside. Gun-toting farmer just sounded more interesting.
