Last year, BL tried Montessori school. No more cushy private schools for him, this year he enters Jr. K in the rough and tough Toronto Catholic School system. He has a few reservations about going to a new school but was keen on St. Cecelia because they have great playgrounds. We visited a few times over the summer to try out the new parks and get him used to it.
Starting this year, a lot of public schools are going with "uniforms", blue pants and white shirts. It sound conformist but it sure makes it easy to get him ready. BL rocks the JK uniform in front of the school on his first day.
He was a bit apprehensive about the first day of school, but managed to stay cool and keep his balance before class.
