Winter Wind

One thing about the school house is that since it sits on a hill, it is usually pretty windy. Even when it doesn't snow, the wind will build up huge knife-edged drifts across the yard.

BL doesn't mind the cold wind, he seems built for the harsh winter - even when he isn't dressed for it. Often, we leave for Creemore on Friday evening after dinner so we don't have to deal with any traffic. BL gets into his PJs, falls asleep en-route, and is transfered into bed at the other end. A few times we have arrived with the wind howling and driving the snow horizontally over the hill.  BL barely wakes up as his MH makes the run with him from the stairs to the front door.

Here's a typical winter day on the hill. BL has learned to make shelters in the lea side of snow drifts.

Eventually the driving snow will get to him and he makes a run for shelter in the quincy.

Baby, it's cold outside - but all is well in the quincy.
